To the workshops
To the cottages
Clothing
The temperature usually reaches 25 °C (75 °F), but because the camp is located in the mountains, the nights can get chilly. If the weather permits, the workshops will be given outdoors allowing the teachers and students to enjoy some fresh mountain air. However, if it should rain, the workshops will be held in the cottages. The cottages are located on Lac Lamoureux; a beach, canoes, and pedalos (small paddle boats) will be at our disposal for the week!
We invite you to bring along costumes with a Mardi Gras theme. A costume party is planned for one evening during the week. Volunteers are needed to help decorate the room. So, volunteers… Come one, come all!
* To ensure that you enjoy a comfortable stay with us at the camp, we suggest that you become familiar with the above items.
Rules and Regulations
Visitors are not permitted in the camp during the day. Only registered campers are allowed to attend the workshops, though family and friends are permitted to visit the camp in the evenings as long as their names appear on the list of visitors. We will invite each camper to complete a list of visitors upon arrival to the camp. Visitors can join us as of 8:00 P.M. every evening except for the night of the Festival Mémoire et Racines concert on Friday. Reservations and payment should be made directly through the festival either by phone at 450 752-6798 or by Internet at www.memoireracines.qc.ca. Admission to the festival on Friday night is free of charge for all musicians registered at the camp. We count on each and every student to participate in the final concert and showcase both the importance of the camp and the incredible team spirit built during the course of the week.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the camp. All campers attending the evening music sessions must be in their cottages by 11:00 P.M. so as not to disturb neighbours wanting an early and peaceful night.
Instruments
The cottages will not be locked as they are in close proximity to each other. Given that there will not be an area designated for instruments, the best way to ensure their security is to keep them in full view at all times. Keep in mind that we are all musicians and that the chances are low of getting something stolen. Nonetheless, it is better to be safe than sorry: We must always stay alert and wary of visitors. Please ensure that the case for you instrument is easily identifiable. |
